Hopi Ear candles are hollow tubes made of organic flax soaked in beeswax , honey , herbs & essential oils.

They work on the a chimney principle drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed.

Pressure in the head & ears is balanced causing a feeling of relief from congestion , especially in the sinuses.

The concentrations of herbal extracts in the candles vaporise during the burning process helping to soothe irritated areas & the heat created helps stimulate the circulation of blood in the area.

The effects of the treatment can continue to work for 24-48 hours.

What happens during your treatment ?

Before you have your treatment you will be asked a few questions about any problems you may have with your ears.

The treatment is carried out in a relaxing environment & lasts 45 mins—1 hour with both ears being treated . You will be asked to lie in a comfortable position on your side with your head supported on a pillow & a small towel will cover your hair.

Firstly the candle is tested for a snug fit before it is lit. As the candle burns down you may experience crackling & hissing sounds within the ear , you may feel a gentle massaging sensation in the ear & a gentle warmth will be felt as the candle burns down.

Once the candle has burned down it will be extinguished & you will receive a gentle ear massage .

A gentle drainage massage to the face & neck completes the treatment .
