'The skin and the face are a canvas that reflects our food choices' - David Woolfe ( nutritionalist)

Regardless of your present health , condition or age you can improve the overall vitality and health of your skin by making the right nutritional changes , external skin care and mental attitude.

A diet high in nutrient rich foods makes our skin glow with vitality, it glows because you glow inside , it appears more toned and lookd younger. Your eyes sparkle and your body is generally more vital and energetic!

In contrast a diet low in minerals , high in refined carbs, junk food, sugary foods, fizzy drinks , alcohol and cigaretes makes the skin age quicker and leads to skin irritations , poor skin tone , spots and blemishes , dark circles under the eyes , puffy eyes.

Hence the phrase 'you are what you eat'

Eating a diet high in raw foods provides our body with the best nutrition. This is because vegetables , fruits , nuts and seeds in their natural uncooked form contain the highest amount of enzymes , antioxidants , vitamins and minerals. Cooking at high temperatures is very destroying because it alters the molecular structure of the foods making it harder for the body to utilise any nutrients there may be in it. Cooking also reduces the amount of water in the foods.

A quick visual test  - take a selection of veggies and once cooked notice the difference in portion size - thats becasue the water has been evaporated from them. This water you body is desperate for!!

So treat yourself and your skin and try to incorporate at least 1 raw meal every day and experiment with raw foods. You'll be so glad you did because you'll start to feel and see a difference
