Our diets can sometimes be deficient in various vitamins, minerals and energy. I'm a great believe in getting good vibrational energy from our food to feed, energise, stimulate our mind , bosy ad spirit. So here's a recipe for a CHAKRA SALAD - it aims to provide energy to help balance our chakras - the body's energy system.
Serve with the ginger sesame dressing (recipe below)
Prep Time: 30 minutesIngredients: 2 to 3 cups - Fresh baby spinach (heart chakra)
1 half cup - Shredded red cabbage ( 3rd eye and heart chakra)
1 half cup - Shredded carrots (root chakra) A few Sun-dried tomatoes or fresh tomatoes ( sacral chakra) 1 handful - Golden raisins ( throat chakra) 2-3 T. Raw sunflower seeds (solar plexus chakra) 1/4 cup - Feta cheese (solar plexus chakra)
A few Yellow pepper rings ( throat chakra)
A few pieces of roasted squash if you have it (sacral chakra)
Mix all salad ingredients together and serve with the dressing below!
This light sesame dressing is wonderful on salads and slaws. The ginger flavor intensifies as it sits, so make it ahead of time if possible. Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:1/3 cup rice vinegar 1 tablespoon tamari 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh ginger 1 tablespoon agave nectar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil1 tablespoon sesame seedsPreparation:
Whisk all ingredients for the dressing together and pour a generous amount over salad just before serving!
